Job Overview

As a key member of our Engineering Services team, you will lead a multifaceted role that includes maintaining program documentation, providing technical governance, monitoring compliance with contracted performance metrics, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Engineering Services team, comprising a system safety engineer, senior logistics engineer, cybersecurity engineer, and configuration management specialists, while assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and supporting professional development.
  • Collaborate with the Engineering Manager to provide engineering governance and oversight, ensuring activities comply with the Engineering Management System.
  • Monitor and report on engineering and configuration management metrics to address potential performance issues affecting contractual targets.
  • Support the Engineering Manager in technical planning proposal reviews and customer engagement, with authority to deputise during their absence.
Essential Qualifications, Experience and Skills
  • University degree in Engineering with a significant component of Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience, including specialised knowledge of technical or operational practices within engineering.
  • Tertiary qualification and professional development sufficient for recognition as a Chartered Professional Engineer with Engineers Australia.
  • Demonstrated experience in decision-making, planning, and goal setting with direct impact on operational results.
  • Excellence in time management, task prioritisation, and ability to maintain stability under pressure.
