Job Overview

This role is responsible for effectively collecting monies due from retail customers to ensure the reduction of outstanding accounts and aged debts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect payments from retail customers for goods and services rendered.
  • Maintain accurate records of outstanding debts and follow up on overdue accounts.
  • Reconcile debts via letters, phone calls, and organize debt collection/recovery.
  • Data entry of customer information and other relevant records.
  • Reconcile retail accounts and identify discrepancies.
  • Evaluate the creditworthiness of potential customers for account authorization.
  • Collaborate with the credit team to address customer inquiries.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting or Credit Management.
  • 3-5 years' experience in collections.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills.
  • Proficient in ERP systems and computer software.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • A motivated and collaborative team player.
