Regional Editor

We are seeking a seasoned reporter to take up the position of Regional Editor.

This role represents an exceptional opportunity for a professional looking to advance in their career and lead our regional mastheads in shaping the narrative of our State.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Gathering and writing original news stories for publication in print and online;
  • Developing positive relationships with key stakeholders;
  • Breaking news stories and creating engaging content;
  • Steering the editorial direction of our regional papers;
  • Interviewing and photographing subjects confidently and professionally;
  • Leading a small team of reporters;
  • Collaborating with our senior regional leadership team;
  • Representing us professionally and courteously.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of two years' experience as a reporter;
  • Strong writing and communication skills;
  • An eye for detail, a head for news, and a hunger for truth;
  • A sense of urgency and focus on deadlines;
  • A valid driver's license;
  • A passion for local news.
