Tree Maintenance Specialist

Overview of the Role:

We are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced truck driver to join our team in delivering a high level of presentation for parks, gardens, reserves, sportsgrounds, streetscapes, and roadsides.

Job Description:

  • Safely operate Council's plant and equipment with an emphasis on MR truck operation for tree maintenance activities, including transportation of equipment, supplies and tree debris.
  • Collaborate with a team of tree care professionals in performing tasks such as gardening, pruning, tree removals, lifting and raking, planting and watering, and pest/disease control.
  • Follow established routes and schedules for tree maintenance projects, ensuring timely completion of tasks.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Hold a Class MR Driver's Licence
  • General Construction Induction Training Card (White Card)
  • Hold or be willing to obtain qualifications relevant to the role (e.g., Certificate II in Horticulture; SafeWork NSW Traffic Control Cards – Traffic Controller (TCR) and Implement Traffic Control Plans (IMP); Certificate of Competency - Chainsaw Trim and Cut Felled Trees; Trim Trees using a Polesaw; AQF Level 3 Chemical Accreditation)
