Overview:

Blue Origin is a pioneer in space exploration, dedicated to making humanity a multi-planetary species. We're seeking an experienced Project Management Expert to join our Test & Flight Operations team and contribute to the development of reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems.

About the Role:

This position involves providing centralized support to Business Units with a focus on designing, building, and maintaining ground systems, test, and launch facilities across multiple locations. As a Project Management Expert, you will work closely with project/program managers to define scope and estimate work, build integrated schedules, track status, and develop recovery plans.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain project schedules, resource plans, and cost estimates for ground systems development projects.
  2. Monitor and report on project performance, identifying risks and opportunities for improvement.
  3. Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure effective communication and alignment on project objectives and milestones.
  4. Support the development of project budgets and forecasts, tracking actual costs and analyzing variances.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project plans are aligned with overall program objectives and schedules.
  6. Provide project management support, including document control, progress tracking, and coordination of project reviews and approvals.
  7. Support the development and implementation of project control processes and tools to improve efficiency and accuracy of project performance tracking.
  8. Assist in the preparation of project status reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

We're looking for someone with a Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or a related field, and 5+ years of experience in project controls, program management, or a related field within the aerospace, high-pressure system, or similar safety-critical industry.

Preferred Qualifications:

An MBA, PMP, Lean Six Sigma Certification, and/or Change Certification would be advantageous. Experience working with or in heavy industry capital projects, prior implementation of Earned Value Management, and expertise with tools such as MS Project, Primavera P6, Tableau, Windchill, Jira, Confluence would be highly valued.

Compensation and Benefits:

The estimated salary range for this role is $108,360-$151,704 based on location in Washington state. Additionally, Blue Origin offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, basic and supplemental life insurance, paid parental leave, short and long-term disability, 401(k) with a company match of up to 5%, and an Education Support Program.
