Nursing - Theatre & Recovery - Scrub Scout Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Scrub Scout Perioperative Unit. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver Evidence-Based Nursing Care: Provide safe and effective care to patients undergoing surgery, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
- Liaise with the Multi-Disciplinary Team: Collaborate with doctors, anaesthetists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Ensure Patient and Staff Safety: Identify and mitigate potential risks, promoting a safe working environment for patients and staff.
- Supervise and Direct Nursing Team Members: Mentor and guide Enrolled Nurses and Assistants in Nursing to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Deliver Education and Support: Provide patients and their families with education and support to manage their health, recovery, and rehabilitation needs.
Our hospital is a private healthcare service in the Northern Territory, providing a range of surgical services, including general surgery, orthopaedics, and obstetrics and gynaecology. We attract patients from across the region, including remote Aboriginal communities and offshore.
About You- Current Registration with AHPRA: Hold a current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
- Post-Graduate Certificate in Perioperative Nursing: Possess a post-graduate certificate in perioperative nursing or be working towards it.
- Working with Children Check: Hold a valid working with children check.
- Commitment to Quality Patient Care: Demonstrate a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and adhering to ACQSHC National standards.
- Sound Clinical Decision Making and Problem Solving Skills: Possess sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent Communication and Customer Service Skills: Demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to Work Independently and as Part of a Team: Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic Computer Skills: Possess basic computer skills.
