Corporate Strategy Role

The City of Nedlands seeks an accomplished and resilient leader to join its Executive Leadership Team as Director Corporate Services. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, this critical role provides strategic oversight and leadership across finance, property & leasing, procurement, and contract management.

About the Role
  • Lead rigorous financial management, budgeting, and long-term planning in line with legislative and statutory obligations.
  • Oversee procurement, contract management, finance, and property & leasing functions, ensuring robust processes and outcomes.
  • Provide expert advice to Council, the Audit & Risk Committee, and the Executive Team.
  • Drive strategic partnerships with the community, stakeholders, and external agencies.
Requirements

As a highly resilient and collaborative leader, you will require:

  • A Chartered Accountant or Certified Practicing Accountant qualification.
  • Demonstrated expertise in procurement, contract management, and legal interpretation.
  • Strong financial acumen experience at senior executive level.
  • Proven ability to lead change, manage complexity, and influence at Board/Council level.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
