Job Title: Maintenance Planner

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled professional to work on a 4:3 or 5:2 roster DIDO, reporting to the Operations Manager. The primary function is to provide maintenance and resource planning to deliver safe, predictable, and reliable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement short-term and long-term maintenance schedules for mobile equipment.
  • Ensure availability of parts, equipment, resources, and tooling as required.
  • Design maintenance plans to maximize production while minimizing downtime and costs.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the CMMS.
  • Provide timely communication of foreseeable disruptions to planned events.
Requirements:
  • Automotive or Engineering Trade Certification.
  • At least 5 years' experience in mobile equipment maintenance.
  • Strong work planning, forecasting, and scheduling skills with previous experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent self-motivation and drive to support the workshop in meeting customer expectations.
  • Intermediate Computer Literacy Skills (including MS Office Suite).
  • Experience with ERP or Maintenance Planning Systems (CMMS).
  • Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Understanding of how to influence key metrics such as Labour utilization, Efficiency performance measures.
  • Able to work successfully within a team and autonomously.
  • Highly developed organisational skills with ability to manage fluctuating workloads and prioritise accordingly.
  • Highly developed attention to detail.
  • Previous experience maintaining/rebuilding Caterpillar equipment.
  • Knowledge of the Caterpillar SIS system and dealer parts and service process.
  • Current Coal Board Medical and valid Driver's Licence.
