About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Ecologist/Botanist to join our team of expert consultants. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and leading ecological survey programs, preparing technical reports, and providing expert advice on biodiversity legislation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement ecological survey strategies tailored to client needs.
  • Prepare high-quality reports on ecological impact assessments, vegetation mapping, and offsets advice.
  • Lead multi-disciplinary teams to deliver complex projects.
  • Provide expert guidance on Victorian and Commonwealth biodiversity laws.
  • Support junior staff in fieldwork, data analysis, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with clients, regulators, and stakeholders to ensure project delivery meets expectations.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in botany, ecology, environmental science, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in ecological consulting or a related field.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Australian ecosystems.
  • Strong understanding of environmental legislation and policy frameworks.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliver high-quality reports on time and within budget.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A current and valid driver's licence.
  • Ability to work in Australia.
