About Building Certification

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Building Certifier to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of building certification principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting building assessments and inspections, issuing Compliance Certificates and Certificates of Occupancy, providing building compliance advice to clients, investigating and resolving client requests, and being involved in process development, implementation, and improvement.

Requirements
  • Current registration with QBCC as a Building Certifier (Level 1, 2, or 3) or eligibility to gain registration;
  • Recognised qualifications (e.g., Diploma in Building Surveying, Bachelor in Construction Management) or current study towards such qualifications;
  • Computer skills (MS Office) with adaptability to new systems and processes;
  • High level interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, with proven report preparation ability;
  • Strong organisational skills with multi-tasking capabilities;
  • A high attention to detail;
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and alternative solution finding ability;
  • Demonstrated negotiation and conflict resolution skills;
  • A valid driver's licence and legal work rights in Australia.
