Job Title: Senior Production Engineer

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Production Engineer to join our team.

  • This is a critical role that will provide technical support for mine production, ensuring safe and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver short-term schedules in alignment with direction provided by the Planning Department.
  • Establish company procedures, standards and templates for the technical services department.
  • Safety Management:
    • Ventilation surveys, monitoring and compliance.
    • Regular Underground inspections.
    • Underground Manager ticket coverage when required.
  • Maintenance Management:
    • Organising short-term/daily activities with onsite contractors and technical staff.
    • Assisting with validating sections of the onsite contractor claim.
  • Team Development:
    • Mentoring and developing Production Engineering Team.
  • Other responsibilities as required by the Mining Manager.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A tertiary degree in Mining Engineering or related field.
  • Solid professional experience in mining engineering.
  • Deswik competency.
  • Production Experience.
  • Managing and developing teams.
  • Managing contractors.
  • Well-developed communication and literacy skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously with well-developed time management skills.
  • Business acumen gained within an operational mining environment.
  • Fully qualified Mine Safety Inspector (MSI).
