Business Intelligence Developer - Data Management

eFinancialCareers Ltd. is seeking a skilled Business Intelligence Developer - Data Management to join their team in Brisbane, Australia.

About the opportunity:

The Group Data Office (GDO) was established to own the Group Data and Analytics Strategy and drive the Group level data capabilities. In this context, the GDO sets frameworks and standards, and drives best practice capability uplift across the organisation in relation to data management, data governance, data modernisation roadmap, and deriving value from data through analytics and insight.

As a Business Intelligence Developer - Data Management, you will support the definition and implementation of enterprise data management processes across business and technology. You will work closely with process owners to identify critical data elements and undertake detailed analysis of critical data to support documentation of business and technical data flows.

  • Business Intelligence: Develop and implement business intelligence solutions to support data-driven decision making.
  • Data Governance: Drive the design and technical documentation of data governance policies and processes for technology and business stakeholders.

You will also have opportunities to register and maintain identified critical data and related assets in Collibra, identify opportunities to reduce and remediate data quality issues, enable Data Governance initiatives to meet schedule, business and budget objectives, and work efficiently to achieve successful outcomes for the business and data risk functions.

You will have a good understanding of the banking or financial services industry and experience as a Senior Technical Business Analyst or similar role with data management/quality or regulatory reporting experience. You will also have experience with critical data identification and management, demonstrated ability to understand data-related regulations and legislation, and demonstrated ability to drive design and technical documentation of data governance policies and processes.
