Warehouse Operations Manager

We are seeking a seasoned Warehouse Operations Manager to lead our warehouse team in Sydney's south-west suburbs.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient warehouse environment in accordance with WHS standards and policies. They will also oversee the smooth running of warehouse operations, including management of casual staff, and ensure accurate scanning and labelling of goods in the warehouse management system.

In this role, you will be expected to efficiently manage cargo to meet customer delivery expectations and strive for continuous improvement in transit and unloading processes from incoming transport carriers and sea freight containers.

You will also be responsible for ensuring strict compliance with relevant legislation and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient warehouse environment
  • Managing warehouse operations, including casual staff
  • Ensuring accurate scanning and labelling of goods in the warehouse management system
  • Efficiently managing cargo to meet customer delivery expectations
  • Improving transit and unloading processes
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and guidelines

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong work ethic and initiative-taking skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with customs and AQIS (desirable)
  • Current forklift license
  • Strong warehouse experience
  • Good communication and organization skills
  • Good time management and attention to detail

About the Role:

This is a full-time opportunity suitable for an experienced warehouse leader with at least 5 years' experience working for a freight forwarder in Australia.
