The Role

This exciting opportunity supports programs across North Richmond Community Health, including a GP service, allied health, dental, and our unique Medically Supervised Injecting Room and Outreach program. As Health and Safety Lead, you will review and improve health and safety systems, collaborating closely with managers and staff to implement innovations and improvements.

You will provide consistent and timely advice on health, safety, and wellbeing issues, fostering a collaborative culture of consultation at NRCH. Your specialist expertise will support the organisation to improve health, safety, and wellbeing outcomes for its people.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide expert advice on health, safety, and wellbeing matters
  2. Foster a culture of collaboration and improvement
  3. Develop and maintain a tailored health and safety management framework
  4. Lead projects to understand and address OVA and preventive measures
  5. Coordinate and support the Work Health and Safety, OVA, and staff wellbeing committees
  6. Conduct risk assessments and implement control measures
  7. Investigate incidents and recommend remedial action
  8. Review and revise policies and procedures to meet health and safety obligations
  9. Coach others to improve their health and safety awareness
