About This Role

">

We are seeking an experienced Project Accountant to join our Strategic Surveillance team. In this role, you will work closely with the Accounting Manager to maintain financial data integrity and facilitate planning and decision making.

The ideal candidate will have a degree qualification, including CA, CIMA, or CPA certification, and knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and Australian International Framework of Reporting Standards.

">

Key responsibilities will include providing detailed reporting and commentary on forecasts, budget, and cash flow, as well as completing compliance to corporate guidelines, policies, and procedures, and accounting standards and legislation.

You will also be responsible for improving processes used to calculate accurate, timely, and efficient reporting of financial results for the project, collaborating with the project controls group on job ledger issues, and preparing journals for project accruals and adjustments.

In addition, you will manage the accruals process, prepare, and review reconciliation between job and general ledger.

  • Degree Qualification: Degree qualification, including CA, CIMA, or CPA certification.">
  • Accounting Knowledge: Knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and Australian International Framework of Reporting Standards.">
  • Experience: Experience with month-end reporting activities.">
  • Skills: Ability to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and members of the broader finance team, effective communication skills to interact with project stakeholders, high literacy and numeracy skills, intermediate MS Office skills, especially in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.">
  • Certifications: Eligibility for a Negative Vetting Level 1 Defence security clearance, exposure to Oracle ERP desirable.">
