Diversity and Inclusion Specialist

We are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic educator to join our community at Corpus Christi School Kingsville as our Learning Diversity Leader.

This part-time position (2-3 days/week) offers flexible working hours and currently attracts a POL 2. The successful applicant will be accredited to teach in a Catholic school and demonstrate a strong commitment to the philosophy of Catholic Education.

The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding and working knowledge of NCCD and associated compliance, as well as the ability to develop strong home-school partnerships and work collaboratively with staff to support students in accessing learning through planned adjustments and/or learning programs.

• Ensure the individual learning needs of students are catered for, and the Personal Learning Plan for students with additional needs are completed and implemented.
• Coordinate and supervise Learning Support Staff and facilitate Learning Diversity Team meetings.
• Organise and facilitate Program Support Group (PSG) meetings.
• Liaise with allied health professionals and service providers.
• Work closely with Regional Student Support Services and facilitate submissions for referral.
• Prepare and collate required documentation.
• Attend relevant professional learning opportunities.

Candidates must hold Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration and provide evidence of this. Additionally, they must hold a valid visa and/or full Australian Working Rights.
