Dental Clinical Support Specialist

The role of Dental Assistant plays a crucial part in delivering safe and effective oral health services. The Dental Assistant collaborates with dental officers and oral health therapists to ensure seamless delivery of clinical and administrative assistance.
- Assists with all oral health care procedures
- Utilizes computer software and electronic systems to complete work tasks efficiently
- Develops effective communication skills with patients and staff
- Works cooperatively as part of a team to achieve common goals
- Is required to travel for work purposes, including driving long distances and overnight stays
- Experience in dental assisting and qualification in a field recognized by the Dental Assistant Education Council of Australia or equivalent
- Certificate III in Dental Assisting (or preparedness to undertake)
- High level of competency in assisting with oral health care procedures
- Understanding of current infection control principles and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
This is a Category 'A' position. All new employees are expected to agree to comply with NSW Health policy directive PD2024_015, which includes Occupational Assessment, Screening, and Vaccination against Specific Diseases.
