Electrical Engineer Position Overview

We are currently seeking an Electrical Engineer with expertise in electrical building services engineering and design documentation to join our team.

About the Role

The successful candidate will lead small to medium-sized engineering design projects and support larger, more complex projects across a range of sectors. You will be responsible for providing electrical design leadership on both single and multi-disciplinary projects, ensuring effective and efficient delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide electrical design leadership on both single and multi-disciplinary projects across a range of sectors
  • Lead small to medium-sized engineering design projects and support larger, more complex projects to ensure effective and efficient delivery
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with external clients and authorities, as well as internal colleagues and managers, to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes
  • Deliver best practices to achieve optimal outcomes for clients, focusing on saving time and reducing costs without compromising on quality
  • Build solid, long-term relationships with clients, identifying new business development opportunities and understanding their evolving needs
  • Contribute to the development and growth of the business unit by supporting strategic goals and initiatives aimed at enhancing overall success

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Electrical Engineering;
  • Expertise in electrical building services engineering and design documentation;
  • 5 to 8+ years' industry experience on Australian building services projects, ideally in a consulting environment;
  • Well versed in effectively delivering multiple, concurrent projects ranging in scale and sector
  • Strong client relationship management and project management skills;
  • Strong leadership, teamwork, interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills;
  • Sound working knowledge of relevant Standards and Codes (AS/NZS 3000, NCC etc.);
  • Understanding of BIM, NavisWorks and Revit MEP (advantageous).
  • Strong proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP).
