Design Engineer

As a technical drafter at our organization, you will play a vital role in the creation of detailed 3D models, drawings and bills of materials for fabricated products.
About the Role- Prepare accurate and precise 3D models, drawings and BOMs for products being manufactured either in-house or outsourced.
- Develop comprehensive project drawings including layouts and interface drawings with other disciplines.
- Integrate 2D and 3D models from various equipment obtained from suppliers into overall systems using CAD and Building Information Modelling tools.
- Support sales teams with preliminary drawings for tenders and proposals.
- A minimum of 5-10 years' experience in a similar technical drafting role is highly advantageous.
- Experience in understanding fundamentals of mechanical and structural engineering, as well as applying Australian and international standards (AS 1100 and AS 4100).
- Familiarity with computer-aided design software such as AutoCAD, Inventor, Revit or PTC CREO.
- Familiarity with BIM interfacing systems in infrastructure projects.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a multicultural environment.
- A Certificate IV in Engineering Drafting or equivalent is beneficial.
