We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team at Darumbal Enterprises Pty Ltd as a Southern Plan of Management Coordinator. The successful candidate will play a key role in the development of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Southern Plan of Management (SPOM).
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate activities as per the agreed Project Plan, including engagement with Darumbal People and the broader Indigenous community.
- Convene and/or attend Traditional Owner Reference Group, Steering Committee, Project Team, and other meetings as needed.
- Provide a detailed budget for the relevant financial year to which the project plans relate.
- Support Darumbal's strategic direction and protection of native title rights and interests.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of the history of Traditional Owner Great Barrier Reef Management in modern history.
- Ability to plan, conduct meetings, oversee programs, and complete tasks in a timely fashion and within budget.
- Sound communication skills, both written and oral, to enable effective relationships with key stakeholders and members of the Darumbal community.
- Proven skills in the use of computer software, particularly the Microsoft Office Suite of programs.
- Ability to analyze situations and issues, and respond accordingly, identifying actions and solutions.
- Ability to supervise staff and mentor youth.
- Minimum Provisional Driver's License.
