We are seeking a highly skilled MST-CAN Therapist to join our team at CatholicCare Diocese Of Broken Bay. As a Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing evidence-based interventions to families affected by child abuse and neglect.
The successful candidate will have a Master's degree in Psychology or Social Work, with a strong background in Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy and clinical practice experience. You will be responsible for working with a small caseload of families, providing in-home and community-based interventions to reduce the impact of physical abuse and/or neglect, and to increase overall family functioning.
Key Responsibilities- Provide evidence-based MST-CAN interventions to families affected by child abuse and neglect
- Work collaboratively with families to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Conduct regular assessments and evaluations to monitor treatment progress
- Provide ongoing support and supervision to families
- Collaborate with other professionals, such as social workers and educators, to ensure a comprehensive approach to family support
- Master's degree in Psychology or Social Work
- Strong background in Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy
- Clinical practice experience, including experience working with children and adults
- Substance abuse treatment for adults and children using behaviourally based approaches
- Trauma treatment for adults and children using exposure, cognitive therapies, and stress inoculation training
- Cognitive-behavioural therapy theory and application particularly in the areas of trauma treatment and anger management
- Effective stakeholder management skills
- Availability to provide periodic on-call 24-hour telephone coverage
- Criminal History Check and Working With Children Check
