About the Role

This is a full-time position that demands extensive heavy haulage experience and a valid HC class driver's license.

The ideal candidate will transport oversized loads to customer sites, conduct thorough pre-start checks before transportation, ensure loads are securely fastened before and during transit, adhere to safety standards, and perform routine maintenance on vehicles and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transport oversized loads efficiently and safely
  • Perform thorough pre-trip inspections
  • Ensure load security at all times
  • Comply with stringent OH&S regulations
  • Maintain company vehicles in excellent condition
  • Provide exceptional customer service with a proactive approach
  • Load and unload equipment independently
  • Undertake local deliveries primarily involving highway and interstate routes

Essential Criteria:

  • Valid MC or HC Driver's License essential
  • Holding a valid MSIC highly regarded
  • Machinery operation tickets desirable
  • Forklift License preferred
  • Strong knowledge and practice of OH&S standards imperative
  • Experience with long-distance trips necessary
  • Heavy haulage experience compulsory
  • Experience with quad and dolly trailers advantageous
  • Able to perform routine vehicle maintenance
  • Minimum 2 years' experience transporting oversized loads required
  • Ability to pass a medical exam including drug and alcohol screening
