Family Support Worker

Our organisation supports Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations in Central Australia, helping women and families lead safe and healthy lives. Our team works closely with local services to provide essential support.
Key Responsibilities- Provide trauma-informed support via phone and face-to-face interactions.
- Complete risk assessments, safety planning, and referrals to relevant services.
- Collaborate with caseworkers, legal, health, and housing professionals to ensure comprehensive support.
- Support women in accessing justice and advocacy pathways.
- Engage in reflective practice, supervision, and team-based learning to continually improve skills and knowledge.
- Tertiary qualification in Social Work or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience working in Domestic Family Violence (DFV) or similar social services.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed and strengths-based practice principles.
- Strong risk assessment and safety planning skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
