Assistant Director: Data Governance and Case Management

The Defence ERP Case Management Solution team is seeking an experienced Assistant Director to lead the development and implementation of robust data governance practices.

About the Role:

  • Drive the mission by leading the development and implementation of data governance practices, operating as the Assistant Data Custodian or providing Integrity Systems Business Support.
  • Support the integrity and reliability of the case management solution through effective business system processes and controls.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Work in close consultation with team members and stakeholders to identify and analyse new and emerging data governance issues, including issues of privacy, security and access.
  2. Deliver results and meet customer expectations, with a focus on customer needs, set high quality standards, work systematically and achieve goals.
  3. Provide technical guidance and support to team members and stakeholders.
  4. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of data management best practice and implement these within the team.

We are looking for individuals who have personal attributes of integrity, excellence and reliability. As a member of the DECMS Value Chain, Data and Integration team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the organisation has access to accurate and reliable data to support decision-making.

DECMS is a new functionality of the One Defence ERP Solution introduced in recent years. It incorporates case management across Defence on incidents relating to Defence's integrity, people and assets.
