The Residential Care Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily care of young people provided by residential care workers within their allocated residential care home during times when the House Supervisor is not rostered to work, or is not present in the home.
This is a Full-Time opportunity within our Out of Home Care Program. The position reports to the House Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise, lead, and support a team of residential care workers.
- Develop and implement behavioral management programs for children and adolescents with challenging behaviors.
- Work with young people with social, emotional, and behavioral difficulties.
- Collaborate with the House Supervisor and Residential Care Coordinator to ensure the smooth operation of the residential care home.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
- Diploma or Community Services or relevant qualifications.
- Four (4) additional mandatory competencies (top-up units).
- Knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and values.
- Ability to relate to and work with young people with social, emotional, and behavioral difficulties.
- Valid and current Driver's Licence.
- Satisfactory Criminal History Check.
- Valid Employee Working with Children Check.
- Valid and current NDIS Workers Screening Check.
