Job Title: Director of Aviation Reform

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director to lead our Aviation Reform program. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for implementing the Government's aviation reform agenda, as outlined in the recently released Aviation White Paper.

About the Role

The Director of Aviation Reform will be responsible for:

  • Leading a range of workstreams to update National Airport Safeguarding Framework (NASF) guidance on best-practice approaches for including aircraft noise exposure notifications on property titles for new developments.
  • Developing guidance to pilots on 'Flying Considerately' to minimise noise impacts in residential areas, when operating under visual flight rules or outside of controlled airspace.
  • Updating guidelines for Community Aviation Consultation Groups to set out ministerial expectations for greater community input.
  • Leading work to amend the Airports Regulations 2024 to implement related measures announced in the Aviation White Paper.
  • Leading work to amend other airport Regulations as required.
