Key Responsibilities for Maintenance Superintendent Role:

The primary objective of this position is to oversee the maintenance activities of various equipment while ensuring adherence to safety protocols and procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure strict compliance with safety regulations and guidelines during maintenance operations.
  • Coordinate the activities of shift and day maintenance personnel to minimize disruptions due to mechanical failures.
  • Develop and implement effective maintenance schedules to minimize impact on production.
  • Oversee ongoing maintenance activities and ensure that planned maintenance tasks are carried out efficiently.

Requirements:

  • A degree in mechanical engineering or a relevant trade qualification.
  • Successful completion of a recognized Work Health and Safety (WHS) Risk Management unit for statutory supervisors.
  • Experience working in complex metallurgical plant environments, particularly in maintenance roles.
  • At least two years of experience as a supervisor or worker in similar industries or operations.
  • Expertise in safety, quality, environmental, and maintenance management systems.
