Job Description

As a Maintenance Planning Superintendent, you will lead the planning function for all mobile and fixed plant maintenance. This involves driving performance and results through effective team leadership and sound maintenance decision-making.

The role requires overseeing all mobile and fixed plant maintenance planning activities, leading and mentoring a team responsible for short- and long-term maintenance planning and scheduling, and implementing best practices in maintenance work management.

You will also be required to provide expert support and guidance to maintenance work teams on the effective use of computerized maintenance management systems and contribute significantly to equipment availability and reliability through meticulous planning and scheduling of maintenance programs.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Proven experience in maintenance planning within an open-cut mining environment is essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and achieve results through effective delegation and motivation is crucial.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships at all organizational levels are necessary.
  • Proficient in developing and managing maintenance budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and resource allocation is vital.
  • Extensive experience with maintenance management systems, including implementation, optimization, and user support is required.
  • Relevant trade qualification or equivalent planning certification is necessary.
  • Highly organized and systematic with demonstrated planning and scheduling expertise is essential.
  • Unwavering commitment to safety and environmental stewardship, including a strong understanding of relevant statutory requirements, is required.
