Advanced Field Service Engineer

We are seeking a skilled professional to fill this Advanced Field Service Engineer role. This position will involve working with clients to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions using premium products.

The ideal candidate will have 10 years of experience delivering SCADA, DCS, and Safety Systems along with advanced software applications such as plant historians. They should also possess a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical or Mechatronics, as well as in-depth knowledge of industrial instrumentation and control equipment.

This person will be responsible for troubleshooting issues related to Experion displays, safeview, trends, flex/console, FTE, and servers including server redundancy, OPC connections, C300 controllers. They will also be expected to edit graphics, create points/controllers/channels, edit/monitor CM charts via Config Studio/Control Builder/Quickbuilder/HMIWeb Display Builder.

In addition, the successful candidate will conduct customer acceptance testing and final commissioning of systems on site, program controllers in various languages, maintain, install, and service DCS/SCADA packages and other software in the MES layer, and perform technical delivery and troubleshooting of Control Systems preventative and remedial maintenance.

  • Troubleshoot diagnostics for Safety Manager, apply/remove forces, read and understand FLDs.
  • Conduct customer acceptance testing and final commissioning of systems on site.
  • Programming of controllers in a variety of languages.
  • Maintain, install and service DCS/SCADA packages and other software in the MES layer.
  • Maintain, install and service industrial control equipment on a variety of industrial sites.
  • Customer reporting, planned service requirements and informing of possible system enhancements and upgrade paths.
  • Implementation of Control Systems projects, typically using Honeywell TPS and/or Experion controller and supervisory systems, and/or third-party PLC controllers.
  • Implement projects using Honeywell tools and processes, provide input for ongoing process improvements.
  • Technical delivery and troubleshooting of Control Systems preventative and remedial maintenance.
