Primary School Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Primary Teacher to join our team at an F-9 school in Point Cook, Melbourne's West. As an integral part of our school community, you will be working with students in lower Primary in straight classes. Our school is committed to fostering academic excellence through our International Baccalaureate Program, providing a globally recognised education system that encourages creativity and a lifelong love of learning.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement lesson plans and instructional materials that align with the Victorian curriculum.
- Establish and maintain a positive and orderly classroom environment conducive to learning, including managing student behaviour, fostering positive relationships, and promoting mutual respect among students.
- Design and administer assessments to evaluate students' understanding and provide timely feedback to students and parents on their progress and areas for improvement.
- Provide additional support and assistance to students who require differentiation to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with learning disabilities or English language learners.
- Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and support staff to share ideas, resources, and strategies for improving student learning outcomes.
- Participate in team meetings, grade-level planning, and school-wide initiatives to support the school community.
- Must have unrestricted working rights in Australia.
- Must have VIT registration or be in the process of obtaining this.
- Demonstrate previous experience in teaching Primary in Australia or placement experience.
- Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references from within the last 5 years.
- A full-time, ongoing role commencing from Term 1, 2025.
