Job Title: Assistant Principal

The role of the Assistant Principal is to support the Principal in ensuring that the College's Islamic ethos and values are at the forefront of decision-making. This involves providing strategic leadership, managing the provision of a pioneering, creative and stimulating curriculum for the Junior School, and formulating and reviewing the Junior School Improvement strategy.

The successful candidate will have at least 10 years' outstanding teaching and leadership experience in the primary age range, as well as a clear and proven commitment to the Islamic ethos and values contained in the Islamic ethos statements. They will also possess a sound understanding of how students learn, how teachers can best teach and how to achieve high standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring the College's Islamic ethos and student wellbeing are at the forefront of decision-making
  • Providing strategic leadership in line with the College's vision
  • Managing the provision of a pioneering, creative and stimulating curriculum for the Junior School
  • Formulating and reviewing the Junior School Improvement strategy

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Teaching qualifications and accredited to teach
  • At least 10 years' outstanding teaching and leadership experience in the primary age range
  • A clear and proven commitment to the Islamic ethos and values contained in the Islamic ethos statements
