As a key member of our housekeeping team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our public areas, providing exceptional customer service to our guests, and contributing to the overall success of our hotel.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Cleaning and Maintenance
  • Clean all public areas, including lobbies, corridors, and restrooms, to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of back-of-house areas, including storage rooms and equipment.
Customer Service
  • Provide exceptional customer service to guests, responding to their needs and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Assist guests with directions, information, and other requests as needed.
Equipment Maintenance
  • Use and clean equipment with care, reporting any defective equipment to the supervisor.
  • Ensure all department equipment is maintained to a high standard.
Security and Safety
  • Ensure the security of keys and public/back-of-house areas at all times by adherence to security procedures.
  • Report any suspicious persons or items to the supervisor.
Health and Safety
  • Understand the correct usage and storage of cleaning agents in line with health and safety regulations and manufacturer's instructions.

Requirements

  1. Availability and Flexibility
  • Demonstrate availability to work on a rotating roster, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
Experience and Skills
  • Have housekeeping experience, preferably in a star-rated hotel or fast-paced setting.
  • Strong customer service, excellent presentation, and a passion for learning are valued.
Qualifications
  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are strongly encouraged to apply.
