About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced early childhood professional to join our team at Ability Action Australia as a Key Worker in the Early Childhood Intervention program.

As a Key Worker, you will be responsible for providing therapy and support to children and their families in a community-based setting. You will work closely with families and children to develop and deliver therapy in diverse settings, including the family home, school, and community centers.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and delivering evidence-based therapy to help children achieve their developmental goals
  • Coordinating support from various disciplines, including occupational therapy, speech pathology, and physiotherapy
  • Working closely with families to develop capacity building strategies
  • Supporting the inclusion and participation of children within their families and communities

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree (or higher) in Early Childhood Education or Special Education or Developmental Education
  • Current registration or accreditation with a relevant professional body
  • Extensive experience in working with children aged 0-7 years and families
  • Experience in delivering services under the NDIS (ideal but not essential)
  • Strong knowledge and advocacy for the Key Worker model
  • Demonstrated suitability to working within a multidisciplinary team
