Job Title: Handyperson

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Handyperson to join our team at Lorna Jane HQ in Eagle Farm, Queensland, Australia.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing general repairs and upkeep on property, structures, facilities equipment, and grounds at Lorna Jane HQ and local retail stores.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing maintenance and upkeep to Lorna Jane HQ and local retail stores.
  • Reporting to the Maintenance Manager any areas of concern and implementing preventative maintenance measures to ensure Essential Services are in working order.
  • Proactively assessing the wear and tear of equipment and furnishings in office/warehouse areas, and completing repairs as required.
  • Performing minor building, HVAC, plumbing, electrical and painting repairs, also arranging appropriate tradesmen where necessary.
  • Maintaining an inventory of all repairs to equipment and store locations.
  • Maintaining and cleaning company vehicles to reflect company image.
  • Maintaining HQ grounds and signage.
  • Maintaining stock supplies of required maintenance products.
  • Sourcing and delivering building materials, tools, and other items as required.
  • Assisting the Project Management team to pick materials and equipment from warehouse for new stores or store refurbishment.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in general maintenance/handyperson in a professional environment.
  • Valid Driver's Licence (Essential).
  • Forklift Licence (Preferred).
  • Ability to travel interstate when necessary.
  • Knowledge of the Workplace Health & Safety Act and relevant fire safety regulations.
  • Experienced in safely and efficiently operating a variety of equipment, including hand tools and machinery specific to the maintenance department.
  • Skilled in organising and establishing priorities and working to time schedules.
  • Trade qualification in cabinetmaking, carpentry, or similar highly regarded.
  • Excellent communication skills, and comfortable working in a predominantly female environment, with a professional and respectful manner.
  • Able to attend training courses for further role development.
