On-Site Machinist Opportunity

Baker Hughes Process & Pipeline Services supports the full lifecycle of customers' assets.

We help to reduce future corrosion, improve efficiency and maximize throughput.

  • As an On-Site Machinist, you will be responsible for ensuring that the operation of equipment is carried out as per Company HSE and Operating Procedures.
  • You will supervise work scopes onshore and offshore.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Participating in pre-job briefing and ensuring familiarization with the work scope.
  2. Ensuring that all subordinates are fully briefed on the work scope, their duties, the risks, and HSE procedures.
  3. Assisting with preparation of equipment in Baker Hughes facility as required.
  4. Ensuring timely execution of orders, instructions, and directions from Operations Manager.
  5. Ensuring that the daily maintenance of equipment is carried out and that the equipment is ready for a job at all times.
  6. Maintaining effective communication with client representative and Operations Manager.
  7. Preparing all required field paperwork, including daily reports and timesheets.
  8. Contributing to the process of continuous training and qualification improvement of employees within the department.

Requirements:

  • Substantial experience as an On-Site Machinist, including offshore experience.
  • Excellent attitude towards safety and participation in company safety programs while adhering to policies.
  • Passionate about learning and developing skills in other Process and Pipeline Services service lines.
  • Ready to work outside of Australia whenever required.
  • Full ECITB TMJI certification 10, 11, 18, 19 & 20.
  • Ability to work with little to no supervision and be a natural leader.
