We are seeking an experienced people leader to lead infrastructure planning for integrated water and wastewater assets.
This is a full-time opportunity with flexible work options.
About the RoleThe Infrastructure Planning Leader leads the planning of efficient, smart, high-performing, and integrated water and wastewater assets. In this role, you will manage a team of planning engineers and engineering contractors to plan the water and wastewater infrastructure for 39 towns.
You will play a leading role in building and maintaining key stakeholder relationships, working closely with the Infrastructure Strategy, Asset Planning, and Capital Delivery teams to ensure the transition of infrastructure projects from strategy to planning and from planning to capital delivery.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the team and engineering contractors to deliver the water and wastewater infrastructure planning program.
- Lead updates to a rolling 10-year Capital Program of works based on Master Plans and long-term financial models.
- Provide engineering and technical advice on various matters, including development inquiries, proposed infrastructure, and alterations to water and wastewater assets or operations.
- Ensure sound engineering and project management practices adhere to legislation, codes of practice, regulatory and statutory obligations, standards, and industry-accepted best practices.
You will provide excellent leadership to the team, influencing an inclusive and equitable working environment where staff can perform at their best.
Requirements:- Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to develop and support your team to succeed.
- Advanced communication skills with the ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships.
- Ability to undertake engineering analysis and provide technical advice on proposed infrastructure works.
- Demonstrated experience in program management, contract management, and budget management.
- Tertiary or postgraduate qualification(s) in Engineering.
