About the Role

DroneShield is seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Software Engineer to join our team in Sydney, Australia. The successful candidate will report to the Software Team Lead and be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our C2 platform, DroneSentry-C2.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain automated testing frameworks within a CI/CD process
  • Implement and maintain testing frameworks such as Selenium
  • Identify and resolve testing dependencies, traceability, risks, and gaps in test coverage across a complex distributed system
  • Prioritize QA tickets and ensure they are passed prior to the quarterly software release cycle
  • Release Acceptance Testing – provide 'hands-on' assistance during the quarterly release cycle to ensure software release performance and stability
Requirements
  • BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience
  • 2-5 years of software Quality Assurance, Verification, and Validation, and/or Test & Evaluation experience
  • Software development experience using Golang, Python, or JavaScript
  • Familiarity with Linux and scripting is required
  • Experience with AI/ML and handling non-deterministic systems is essential
  • Proven ability to create and orchestrate manual test plans
  • Experience working with Atlassian tools such as JIRA and Confluence
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD development approach using automation where possible
  • Strong interpersonal skills to implement and shape QA procedures across the platform
