Female Driver Training Program

We are committed to addressing the gender gap in the waste management industry. Our Female Driver Training Program is designed to equip female identifying or non-binary persons with the skills and knowledge needed to become licensed truck drivers.

The program includes a 5-week paid training period, where participants will obtain their Heavy Rigid Licence, receive uniforms and personal protective equipment, and undergo training to become a driver.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate rear lift collection vehicles
  • Perform loading and unloading duties of bottles and cans through the Container Deposit Scheme
  • Deliver loads to nominated recycling facilities
  • Ensure high levels of customer service and satisfaction
  • Maintain vehicle presentation inside and out
Requirements:
  • Hold a current unrestricted driver's licence for at least 24 months
  • Driving History Check with fewer than 8 demerit points
  • Passionate about teamwork
  • Excellent customer service ethic
  • Commitment to safety and willingness to learn and work as part of a team
