The Community and Competition Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth administration of our junior and senior competitions, providing a seamless experience for all members.

Responsibilities include serving as the primary point of contact for our community, including players, families, team managers, coaches, and senior team delegates. This individual will be the face and voice of the Junior and Senior Domestic competitions, while also being responsible for potential and current representative players.

Key responsibilities involve strong community engagement, management of participation data to inform strategic decision-making, and collaboration with WBA Operations Executive, WBA staff, WBA Executive Members, and other key external stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of our domestic competitions and representative programs.

The Community and Competition Manager is responsible for delivering operational activities within the senior and junior WBA domestic competition and any other WBA competitions delivered. This includes managing competition fixtures, supervisors, door staff, and court bookings.

The manager will work closely with WBA Operations Executive, WBA staff, and volunteer teams to ensure everyone can participate in the game of basketball. They are also responsible for delivering operational activities within the senior and junior WBA representative programs delivered. This includes managing try-out processes, game day operations for VJBL and Big V, supervisors, door staff, technical officials (where required), and court bookings.
