We're looking for a Senior Industrial Designer to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with our Head of Design, Product Lead & Co-Founders to develop innovative market-leading furniture products.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and developing unique furniture products in collaboration with cross-functional teams
  • Challenging conventional design and engineering boundaries to push the limits of creativity
  • Playing a pivotal role in shaping the future of no-tool premium assembly products in Australia

You will be responsible for taking design concepts from prototype to mass production while prioritizing user needs. To achieve this, you will ensure every product meets the highest standards of quality, functionality, and aesthetics.

A key aspect of this role is collaborating with suppliers to drive continuous improvement throughout the product development lifecycle. This includes implementing changes post-release based on customer feedback and supplier insights.

In this role, your daily tasks may include:

  • Providing technical support to the design team during early concept development
  • Developing prototypes, golden samples, and relevant documentation for mass manufacture
  • Sourcing materials, components, and hardware for new product developments
  • Driving continuous improvements through user feedback and supplier collaboration
  • Ensuring projects meet timelines, budgets, and design expectations

Required skills and qualifications include:

  • At least 5 years of experience as a senior industrial designer or equivalent role in furniture or homewares, with expertise in working with overseas suppliers
  • Extensive knowledge of furniture construction and management
  • An analytical mindset and problem-solving abilities
  • Attention to detail, data-driven decision-making, and organizational skills
  • Mastery of 3D modeling and rendering tools, preferably Fusion 360 and Blender
  • Ability to travel internationally (approximately every 3-6 months) to collaborate with suppliers
