We are seeking an experienced Senior Industrial Designer to join our close-knit team and contribute to the development of unique market-leading furniture products. As a key member of our design team, you will work closely with the Head of Design, Product Lead & Co-Founders to challenge the boundaries of design and engineering.

Your primary responsibility will be to take a design concept from prototype to mass production, ensuring every product meets customer needs while continuously improving post-release. You will work collaboratively with suppliers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and meeting quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to the Design Team during early concept development.
  • Own all aspects from prototyping to golden sample.
  • Lead the production of relevant documentation required by manufacturers, including Renders, SOP's, technical drawings, and QC documentation.
  • Source components, materials, finishes, hardware, and new construction methods for products in development.
  • Drive continuous improvements through customer and user feedback, working directly with suppliers to maintain high quality standards.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to ensure project timelines, designs, and budgets are met.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Customer Support to release new products to market.
  • Ensure products adhere to Eva's design system and DNA.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5-year full-time experience as a senior industrial designer, sourcing, manufacturing, or production in furniture or homewares with experience liaising with overseas suppliers daily.
  • Extensive knowledge of furniture construction and management.
  • An active problem solver and resourceful individual.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Extremely organised and data-driven.
  • Proven ability to identify and document product requirements via research and product reviews.
  • Mastery of 3D modeling and rendering (experience with Fusion 360 and Blender preferred).
  • Comfortable with occasional international travel to suppliers.

$120,000 - $150,000 per annum based on location and experience, depending on qualifications and skills.
