Secondary Art Education Specialist

Chairo Christian School invites applications for a Secondary Art Teacher position. The successful candidate will join our team of dedicated educators, shaping the minds of students and fostering a love of learning.
About the RoleThis part-time opportunity is approximately 0.3 to 0.4 FTE, commencing January 2026 at our Pakenham campus. As a Secondary Art Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering the curriculum in a manner consistent with the guidelines and policies set by the school board and leadership team, from a Christian worldview perspective.
Key responsibilities include fostering a safe and caring environment for all students, maintaining a learning environment that encourages positive attitudes toward learning, and assessing student performance to provide feedback in an encouraging and confidence-building manner.
The ideal candidate will have relevant tertiary qualifications in education, registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching, and demonstrated commitment to the school's Statement of Faith. Experience teaching Art at senior secondary level, sound knowledge of teaching from a Christian worldview perspective, and ability to utilise a range of teaching strategies are essential.
Qualifications and Characteristics- Relevant tertiary qualifications in education and registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching.
- Demonstrated commitment to the school's Statement of Faith.
- Experience teaching Art at senior secondary level.
- Sound knowledge of teaching from a Christian worldview perspective.
