About the Role

As a Junior Designer, you will be responsible for bringing your creativity and skills to our fashion brand. This is an exceptional opportunity to work with a renowned Australian womenswear brand.

The role involves researching creative ideas and providing input on key design elements. You will work closely with the Creative Director and Senior Designer to develop seasonal materials and update the digital design board.

You will attend design meetings during each stage of the seasonal Design process, from concepting to retail merchandise planning. Your tasks will include producing illustrations and technical drawings for pattern maker guidance and production use.

This is a full-time role based in our Balaclava Head Office. We are looking for a candidate with minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role, a fashion design degree, and an understanding of luxury and developed design skills.

We require candidates who can demonstrate creative instincts and a distinct point of view, possess clear design and communicative skills, and have advanced Photoshop, Illustrator & InDesign skills.

The ideal candidate will have good technical garment and fabric knowledge, strong drawing ability, and an understanding of the brand displayed through their folio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research creative ideas and provide input on key design elements
