Job Opportunity: Hydraulic Fitter

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Hydraulic Fitter to join our team in supporting various activities related to overhauling hydraulic components for surface and underground equipment.

This technical role requires precision work, mechanical aptitude, and attention to detail. The successful candidate will be responsible for stripping, rebuilding, and modifying hydraulic components, as well as testing components for accuracy and troubleshooting any faults.

  • Stripping and rebuilding hydraulic components
  • Testing components for accuracy and resolving issues
  • Maintaining accurate records of parts used and reporting stock levels
  • Providing assistance to team members and mentoring Apprentice Fitters
  • Focusing on quality and continuous improvement in all tasks

To qualify for this role, you must possess:

  • Solid knowledge of hydraulic function and the ability to read hydraulic circuits and interpret schematic drawings
  • Experience in rebuilding and modifying mechanical components
  • Proficiency in machining operations, including lathe and mill operation, and fabrication skills
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office applications
  • Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering and a valid manual driver's license
  • Forklift License and Certificate IV in Fluid Power (desired)
