Facilities Engineer Position Overview

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance and maintenance of our micro- and nanotechnology equipment.

This position involves working with cutting-edge technology, including deposition equipment, characterization tools, and fabrication equipment. You will provide technical operations support, develop and implement policies, maintain documentation, and ensure compliance with work health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support for micro- and nanotechnology equipment
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for equipment maintenance and operation
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Ensure compliance with work health and safety standards and Australian regulations
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or related field
  • Experience in facilities management, maintenance, and equipment support
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other building systems
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams with strong communication and organizational skills
