Job Overview

Our organization is seeking an experienced Project Accountant to join our team on a major construction project in Karratha.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage project accounting activities, including cost tracking, invoicing, and review of project budgets and forecasts.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Deliver actionable insights from financial data to drive cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers to ensure accurate project forecasting and reporting.
  • Coordinate with corporate accounting teams to ensure timely project financial reporting.
  • Review and approve project-related invoices, expenses, and payments.
  • Prepare comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for stakeholders.
  • Provide strategic financial guidance and support to the project team.

Success in this role requires a strong background in project accounting, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA or CMA certification preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in project accounting or a related field.
  • Deep knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Experience with project accounting software and ERP systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a high-performing team.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
