Production Mining Operations Specialist

Take your career to the next level with our Production Mining Operations team. As a key member of our production team, you will operate and maintain heavy machinery in a safe and efficient manner to maximize output.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain heavy machinery, such as excavators, dozers, graders, and loaders, in a safe and efficient manner to ensure maximum output.
  • Comply with all safety policies and procedures to minimize risks and ensure a healthy work environment.
  • Respond to instructions from supervisors and take direction as required.
  • Maintain floor levels, minimizing dilution and achieving design parameters within acceptable tolerances.
  • Ensure stockpiles, dumps, and haul roads are maintained in a safe and efficient manner to facilitate flow.
  • Operate, drive, and move material as directed to prepare operating areas and roads.
  • Set and maintain high housekeeping standards to ensure a clean and organized work environment.
  • Perform pre-start checks on equipment before use.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years' experience operating heavy machinery in a production mining environment.
  • Equivalent or specific experience operating Liebherr 9200 excavators.
  • Experience operating CAT D10 and Cat 16M machines is highly desirable.
  • Strong mining operational skills and ability to demonstrate competence in maintaining pit floors and bunds in a mining production environment.
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of ore markups and pit configurations.
  • HR driver's license (desirable).
  • Proven commitment to health and safety at all times.
