The OpportunityThis role presents an exciting opportunity for an experienced Buyer to join our team on a 12-month contract. As a key member of our buying team, you will drive our vision for fashion-forward products that meet the needs of our customers. Your expertise will be instrumental in forecasting trends, developing ranges, and collaborating with our planning department to implement strategic pricing and size strategies.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop commercial product lines that reflect our brand's DNA and customer base, ensuring timely delivery and quality control.
- Build responsible sourced products, presenting them to cross-functional teams and ensuring our offering meets customer expectations.
- Analyse trade results, enhance bestsellers, and manage underperforming items, leveraging markdowns and promotions while staying up-to-date with market trends.
- Partner with the Planning team to establish seasonal strategies, determine pricing, and optimise product quantities for optimal sell-through.
We are looking for a seasoned Buying professional with exceptional expertise in fabrications, raw materials, product categories, and garment construction, coupled with strong commercial acumen and sound business judgement. You must have a proven track record of leading and growing teams, managing relationships across multi-region suppliers and markets, and ensuring smooth collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements:- Minimum 5 years of buying experience.
- Proficient across Adobe CC Suite (Photoshop, inDesign, Illustrator).
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Fashion Design/Buying or equivalent.
