Job Title: Grain Operations LeaderAbout the Role:As a key member of our grain operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient receipt, storage, and outloading of commodities at our Quambatook facility.This leadership position offers a unique combination of hands-on experience and strategic decision-making, with a strong focus on community engagement and operational excellence.Quambatook is a charming rural town that proudly celebrates its agricultural heritage, from wheat and sheep farming to iconic community events.Bring your expertise in plant operations, leadership skills, and commitment to safety to help us maintain the integrity of Australia's grain supply chain.Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate daily activities of the team and provide coaching and support for individual development.
  • Familiarize yourself with our enterprise agreement and people processes to ensure effective implementation.
  • BUILD STRONG RELATIONSHIPS WITH LOCAL GROWERS, CUSTOMERS, AND THE COMMUNITY THROUGH EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION AND COLLABORATION.
  • Work closely with area maintenance and pest control teams to deliver required services.
  • Identify and report on maintenance requirements and maintain site presentation and standards.
  • LEAD SAFETY INITIATIVES AND RISK MANAGEMENT PROGRAMS TO ENSURE A ZERO-HARM CULTURE.
About Your Background:To succeed in this role, you will have experience in plant operations (preferably within the grain industry) and demonstrate the following skills:
  • Proven track record of supervising, supporting, and developing workgroups/individuals.
  • Ability and willingness to work flexible hours to meet operational demands.
  • Capacity to work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Current unrestricted driver's license and basic IT literacy.
