About the Job
We are seeking an experienced professional to develop and implement communication strategies, coordinate stakeholder engagement and consultation, and provide complex information in simple formats for diverse audiences.
The successful applicant will work closely with the Program Manager and Change Lead to raise awareness, promote understanding, and support change among various stakeholders. You will also identify and engage with internal and external stakeholders, including Departmental and Ministerial staff, and the non-government and private sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop Communication Strategies: Create clear and consistent communication tools, awareness-raising materials, and sector preparedness resources to inform stakeholders about safeguarding legislation and regulatory changes.
- Coordinate Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies, businesses, organizations, and community groups, to build relationships and facilitate effective communication.
- Provide Complex Information: Work with the Program Manager and Change Lead to simplify complex information and make it accessible to diverse audiences, ensuring that all stakeholders receive timely and accurate updates.
- Engage with Stakeholders: Identify, engage, and build relationships with key stakeholders to ensure their needs are met and their expectations are managed.
Requirements
- A Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People Registration is essential for this role.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or significant experience in areas such as journalism, communications, and/or marketing, public relations, community engagement, social work, health, and/or policy, participatory project management are highly desirable.
- Familiarity with contemporary content creation tools is also beneficial.
